Integrated Math is a three year course that covers both Algebra and Geometry. Students will learn the fundamentals through hands on application, 21st century learning, real world application, projects and discussions.
This course emphasizes questioning, solid thinking, good problem solving and critical analysis. Use of iPads and the free graphing calculator application is mandatory. Algebraic topics will include operations with real numbers, expressions and equations, graphs, lines, exponents and functions, statistics and fitting lines.
Geometric topics studied will include triangles, congruence, areas, similar polygons, circles, area/volume of solids, right triangles, coordinate geometry, logic, proofs, functions/graphs, real numbers and equations, inequalities, radicals, and quadrilaterals.
In this course students should expect an appropriate homework load on a daily basis which will require standard, out-of-class preparation time. Students will be responsible for the using internet resources and videos provided.
After school math support is available until 3:50, late bus at 4:00.
