This course follows completion of Algebra I. Geometry B is designed to assist students with the material presented in their Geometry class. The class will be personalized to meet the students's needs. Students will focus their efforts on the competencies they need to meet. Resources will be provided that will introduce students to key mathematical ideas and procedures. Students will use these resources to foster their ability to learn independently and to work through the problems at their own pace. By using their own logic and reasoning students will gain a meaningful understanding of the concepts. As self-directed learners group work and the obtainment of resources or assistance from within and without of the classroom is encouraged.
Projects will be assigned that have real world application and that provide hands on learning of the concepts in order to foster and deepen the student's understanding of the material.
After school math support is available until 3:50, late bus at 4:00.
